Earlier, on 3 November, the ED attached 132 acres of land inside the Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City campus in Navi Mumbai. That land was valued at Rs 4,462.81 crore. The agency had also attached over 40 more properties valued at Rs 3,084 crore, including Anil Ambani’s 16,000 sq ft residence in Pali Hill.

Fund misuse found during investigation
Major irregularities came to light in the ED’s investigation into Reliance Home Finance and Reliance Commercial Finance. Yes Bank had invested Rs 2,965 crore in RHFL and Rs 2,045 crore in RCFL between 2017 and 2019. However, by December 2019, the entire exposure had turned into non-performing assets. The agency said the funds were diverted to other Reliance Group entities instead of being used for their declared business purposes.
Key irregularities detected:
- Several loans approved and disbursed on the same day
- Missing field checks and skipped verification meetings
- Blank or undated documents found in loan files
- Unexplained movement of funds among group firms
The ED termed this pattern an intentional control failure.
ED cites losses and ongoing probe
Yes Bank is estimated to have suffered losses of more than Rs 2,700 crore due to loan defaults linked to RHFL and RCFL. Of the total exposure, RHFL still owes Rs 1,353 crore and RCFL Rs 1,984 crore. The agency said its investigation remains active under Section 5(1) of the PMLA, and provisional attachment orders were issued on 31 October 2025.
- Yes Bank losses: More than Rs 2,700 crore
- Outstanding dues: RHFL Rs 1,353 crore, RCFL Rs 1,984 crore
- Probe status: Ongoing under PMLA
The agency said further financial trails are being examined and more attachments may follow if fresh evidence emerges.
